Sign Up Now For Pack 1's
Spring Camp 2022 (April 22-24)

Hello Pack 1 Families!

Wow, that was a long, challenging, and COLD winter! I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing green grass, flowers and leaves on the trees. And I’m looking forward to seeing you all again! (It was such a bummer that yet another Covid surge forced us to cancel Winter Camp ). That’s why I’m so excited to invite you all to Pack 1’s Spring Camp “Bring a Friend Weekend,” April 22-24, at Phillippo Scout Reservation near Cannon Falls.

As was the case in our Fall Camp “Bring a Friend Weekend” in September, every Pack 1 Scout who brings a non-Scout friend to Spring Camp can attend for FREE! ... And your invited friends can attend for free also!

Invite a friend or two from your neighborhood, school, church, sports team, etc. Our hope is that your friends will have so much fun with us at Spring Camp that they will join Pack 1 in the Fall! And we will have A LOT OF FUN at Spring Camp – archery & BB range sessions, fishing, disc golf, obstacle course, gaga ball, hiking, s’mores and a Campfire Program with skits, jokes and songs!

Camp Registration Deadline & Parent Volunteers

The camp-registration deadline is Wednesday, April 20, at Noon. Meals, dishes and utensils will be provided during camp. Parent Volunteers will help prep and cook meals, and clean up after. We will be tent-camping and cooking outdoors. We will not have access to a Dining Hall, Bunk House or flush toliets.

Tent Camping: Latrines, Fire Ring, Nearby Water

You will need a tent to sleep in. If you’d like to borrow a tent, email me at greghuff@mac.com and I will help you find a tent to borrow. Only members of the same family/household can share a tent. Female Scouts can share a tent with a male parent; male Scouts can share a tent with a female parent.

We have reserved two spacious campsites. As of yet, however, we have not received word on which specific campsites we’ve been assigned (unlike at Rum River Scout Camp, you don’t sign up for a particular, numbered campsite at Phillipo -- they assign campsites in a first-come, first-serve manner). In our campsites, we will group up in Den-specific pods, as per current state and Northern Star Council Covid-19 mitigation protocols. Each “pod” will have a fire ring, picnic table and nearby water spigot and latrine.

Parent/Chaperone Policy
* Note: Friends of Pack 1 Scouts who will camp overnight with us must attend with a parent or parent-approved guardian and must bunk in their own tent. Friends who will attend just for the daytime activities, but will not camp overnight, can be chaperoned by the parent/guardian of the Pack 1 Scout who invited them, if they are

in 2nd grade or above; K-1 youth must attend with their own parent/guardian. Pack 1 Scout Siblings who have never been

a Scout are eligible to attend for free,

and can bunk with their family members.
